Refund Policy for TheAd.Market Marketplace
Effective Date: June 7, 2025
1. Scope
This policy governs monetary refunds for paid advertising campaigns (“Campaigns”)
transacted through TheAd.Market (“Platform”) between advertisers (“Advertisers”) and
content creators (“Creators”).
2. Full-Refund Window
- 100 % Refund: A Campaign is eligible for a full refund until the
first piece of user-generated content (UGC) linked to that Campaign records more than
zero (
0
) impressions. If you want a refund for a campaign with 0 total impressions, you should deactivate it as soon as possible so that no new submissions are added.
- Impression Determination: Whether impressions have occurred—and their
count—is measured exclusively by TheAd.Market’s internal analytics and judgment. Final
impression counts used for refund calculations are those recorded at the Campaign’s end
date.
3. Post-UGC Refund Formula
Once any UGC for the Campaign has >0 impressions, the refundable amount is calculated as:
Refund = Campaign Budget − ( Impressions × 2 × Weekly Avg. Cost‑Per‑Impression )
- Impressions – Total impressions attributed to the Campaign to date.
- Weekly Avg. Cost-Per-Impression (CPI) – Platform-wide average CPI for the
calendar week in which the refund is requested.
- 2 Multiplier – Represents a 200 % performance offset retained by the
Creator for delivered value.
All figures are rounded to the nearest cent. A negative result yields a refund of US $0.
4. Right to Deny Refunds & Account Suspension
TheAd.Market reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to deny refund requests that
are deemed frivolous, fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise not based on a valid reason
under this policy. Abusing this refund policy is grounds for account suspension.
Refunds may only be issued when the request is
substantiated by a legitimate concern such as billing error, platform fault,
or demonstrable campaign misdelivery.
5. How to Request a Refund
- Email bryn@thead.market with:
- Campaign ID and name
- Reason for refund
- Date you wish to terminate or pause the campaign (if applicable)
- TheAd.Market will confirm eligibility and send the calculated refund amount within five (5)
business days.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method; processing times depend on the
payment provider.
6. Exclusions & Finality
- Transaction fees charged by payment processors are non-refundable once incurred.
- Refund determinations made under this policy are final and not subject to appeal.
7. Changes to This Policy
TheAd.Market may modify this policy at any time. Updates take effect upon posting and apply
prospectively to refund requests submitted after the new effective date.
